On the flipside of the issue is the first installment of the Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) co-feature, and I’ll admit that I was a little lost on this one. Having given up on Blue Beetle after #25, I didn’t catch the last six or so issues before it was canceled. While I’ve heard some of the plot develo...

Ca If Blue Beetle and Booster Gold don't have their series canceled in 1987, we likely don't get Blue and Gold (at least not the way they ended up). Now you name some more (I was going to go with Simple Twists of Fate for the title, but felt that that ...

Ca It is questionable how many of the 10000 or so units the "Blue Beetle" series ended at will translate into new sales of "Booster Gold." The pairing Booster Gold and Blue Beetle is somewhat arbitrary given that the two characters have barely interacted ...

Checkmate had been one of my favorite new titles coming out of Infinite Crisis, and I'm sad that I can't recommend this last volume. It seems to be the case with Checkmate, Shadowpact, All-New Atom, Blue Beetle and more that a book will start strong, then DC Comics will replace the original c...

After a trip through time, Rip reappears in the lab (where, by the way, there’s a chalkboard covered mostly in Kingdom Come references), enmeshed in a skirmish with an unknown assailant from the future. Though Booster and Skeets manage to repel the intruder’s entry into the time lab, the r...

Ca Mention was made of the team-up of Congorilla and Starman, described as Robinson's idea of the blue and gold pairing of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. “And in the first issue you get to watch monkeys drinking martinis!” DiDio said. ...

If you ask a crowd to name their favorite Justice Leagues, you'll get a variety of responses: the Satellite era Justice League, for instance, or Keith Giffen's Justice League International; maybe the current Meltzer lineup, or Grant Morrison's Big Seven. One or two fans might even singl...

It’s the penultimate issue, so it matters not what anyone says about it, but I always like fun stuff in comics that lets us know we’re reading about a weird universe. Why wouldn’t there be fetish parties in which attendees dress up as DC superheroes? In our universe, we have Halloween partie...

The Revolution always looks forward to the latest issue of Booster Gold. Johns and Katz have been tacos in the bank with this title. Booster Gold has quickly become one of The Revolution’s favorite DC titles. It should be fun watching Booster and Blue Beetle gathering their old teammates together to take on Maxwell Lord. Let’s go ahead and do this review for Booster Gold #9. Booster thinks about how Rip Hunter told him that Booster cannot change the past. Booster thinks that Rip is wrong. That for once in Booster’s sad career that he is going to do the impossible. Blue Beetle then gets a lock onto Mr. Miracle’s location.
