This week is incredibly small. I cannot remember the last time I was getting so few comic books on a Wednesday. And I am not really all that excited to read any of these issues.
Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? That would be Green Lantern #39. This issue is going to focus on the Orange Lantern Corps and I am interested in learning more about them. Johns has been money on Green Lantern as of late and I see no reason for that to stop with this issue.
Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? The easy choice would be to select Trinity #45. However, I am going to go with Battle for the Cowl #2. I have a bad feeling that we are in store for a predictable and pedestrian read with this issue.
Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? That would be Wolverine: Weapon X #1. I know that Wolverine is absolutely the last character that needs another comic book. And normally I would be ripping this move by Marvel to give us yet another Wolverine comic books. After all, Logan is possibly the most over-exposed character in comic books.
However, the fact is that I really dig Jason Aaron's work. And I read an interview with Aaron where he said he wanted to make Wolverine: Weapon X new reader friendly and not continuity heavy. And given all the garbage that Marvel has done with Wolverine's continuity over on Wolverine and Wolverine: Origins I am looking forward to a Wolverine title that does not bother itself with Logan's ridiculous continuity. Hopefully, Aaron will be able to deliver some exciting kick-ass action stories in a straight forward fashion and make Logan cool once again.
Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? None. I am not getting much from Marvel this week and both titles should be good reads.
