But, like I said, this wasn't the main event for this issue, so let's skip back to the front of this issue, where Mantis begs for his life, the Black Racer arrives, and Darkseid faces the assault of the Secret Society of Super-Villains! A suicide run.
Earth's Greatest Heroes...and Green Arrow, for some reason... Still, I did enjoy it, even though not unlike Frank Miller, you can very clearly see the line where Alex Ross stopped reading new comics...tough break, Firestorm. Maybe some more on this later, but I gotta take care of the family, kay?
But, Finlay's ghost has even less power than that, since I sincerely doubt we'll see him, or this origin, ever mentioned or referred to again. The continuity just doesn't fit, and I think Dr. Light's Underworld Unleashed look has also been quietly discarded. Maybe some things are bad enough...
On the bright side, the art in this is crisp and bright, and we've got Green Arrow and Black Canary in a short guest shot. This has been Green Lantern versus Aliens #1, a Dark Horse/DC presentation, written by Ron Marz, pencils by Rick Leonardi, inks by Mike Perkins.
