Rokk's Comic Book Revolution is the #2 Blogger for Iron Man

Overall: Invincible Iron Man #14 was another average issue. There are signs of improvement by Fraction, but so far "World's Most Wanted" has simply felt like a poor combination of older Iron Man stories. For the most part, this is a story that will be enjoyed much more by new Iron Man fans than...

Last Month, Kevin(legacysword@gmail.com) from Rokk's Comic Book Revolution says (in The Revolutions Most Anticipated Comic Books for 2010) I know Morrison’s Batman was an acquired taste. I completely understand why some readers strongly disliked what Morrison did on Batman. Having said that, personally, I loved Morrison’s Batman. So, I am looking forward to Morrison continuing the story he had cooking in Batman RIP and Final Crisis.

The Batman titles have suffered since Bruce’s “death.” The Batman titles have always been DC’s strongest performers, but their sales numbers have slipped since Bruce was taken off the table. The most recent sales numbers show both Batman and Detective Comics selling less than they were when Bruce Wayne was starring in both titles.

So, it does not please me that I could largely care less about the core Marvel titles dealing with the 616 Universe.

Thumbnail 2 Months Ago, legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) from Rokk's Comic Book Revolution says (in Comic Book Review: Invincible Iron Man #21) Back in the world were Tony is in he and his father are putting the Iron Man armor together. Tony's dad says that Tony will need help to turn the armor on. Howard helps his son get the armor on but before he can Tony's mom yells that the machines are there. The machines crush all of the huts.

And Kevin(legacysword@gmail.com) from Rokk's Comic Book Revolution says (in Comic Book Review: Invincible Iron Man #21) The Revolution has not been a big fan of Matt Fraction's run on Invincible Iron Man. Though there have been a few issues of this series that I have liked overall Fraction's run has not been very impressive. The last issue of Invincible Iron Man was an okay beginning to "Stark Disassembled" but it still felt like Fraction is just copying old Iron Man stories and not presenting anything new to the character. But as a fan of Iron Man I am still hopeful that Fraction can turn things around as he has shown a few signs of improving in a few issues. Let's see if Invincible Iron Man #21 can be a good read.

As Tony is flying, he is shot down by a couple of men who noticed something flying in the air. Tony is lands on the ground below with the armor damaged by the fall. Tony takes of the armor and sits in front of it trying to recover.

8 Months Ago, Caleb(noreply@blogger.com) from Every Day Is Like Wednesday says (in Ultimates 3 #5) Stowing away on Yellowjacket's shape is Tony “Iron Man” Stark, freed by the Wasp and Ant-Man, and wearing an all-black stealth suit which, we’ll see later, has War Machine-style gun shoulder-pad thingees.

Wasp is all, like, “You were the Black Panther? What the fuck, Captain America? Th...

9 Months Ago, Kevin(legacysword@gmail.com) from Rokk's Comic Book Revolution says (in Comic Book Review: Invincible Iron Man #17) World's Most Wanted" has been a mixed bag so far. There have been aspects of this story that I have been enjoying. However, at the same time, there some aspects I have not. Also, what has hurt Fraction's story so far is that he has not made this story feel any different from previous classic Iron Man stories. Still, as an Iron Man fan, I have hopes that Fraction can turn things around in order to give "World's Most Wanted" a good ending with the remaining three issues left in the story. Now let's move onto the review for Invincible Iron Man #17.

In the Helicarrier armory some HAMMER agents store Pepper's armor in the same location as the rest of the Iron Man armor. End of issue.

10 Months Ago, Kevin(legacysword@gmail.com) from Rokk's Comic Book Revolution says (in Saturday Morning Cartoons: Reviews for 4/27 - 5/1) As shown by this show by taking Tony and his cast of characters into teenagers it has effectively taken everything that makes them interesting to fans of their comic book version and the only thing they share that is similar is the character names. It also does not make things better that Iron Man: Armored Adventures takes almost every lame story angle of teen shows and puts them into this series. The main character is the calm and cool character (Tony) who has a best friend that spazzes out (Rhodes) and an annoying girl pal (Pepper) as well as once the main character starts high school he becomes friends with someone who is actually the main villain (The Mandarin). Effectively that was what this episode was about as Tony becomes friends with Ge...

But back to our fight, wherein Spymaster continues to beat the crap out of the "Invincible" Iron Man:

Meeting?

D'oh!!

5 months later Marvel went to 40¢.

Something to ponder as comic companies promise to hold the line at $2.99.
